Exact information about the course of the Holocaust in Jūrmala is not available. It is known that in July 1941, as the result of a campaign organised by the Nazis, at 8 Saldus Street (at the time – 20 Talsu Street) the Bulduri Synagogue was burnt down, during this action a number of Jews were inside it. Soon afterwards all Jews of Jūrmala had to move and they were placed in the Riga ghetto.

At present no commemorative sign has been placed on the site of the former synagogue.
